The coaching journey as a road trip.
We agree to go on this adventure together.
We hop on a consultation call. Get to know one another, clarify expectations, and determine if coaching is a good fit.
Assuming we agree to spend several hours in the car together, we meet up for day one. You’re in the driver's seat, I’m riding shotgun.
During each coaching session, you determine the topic and what will bring you the most value.
You choose the destination and how we will get there. Will we take the fastest route between A and B? Will we take the scenic route? Either way, you create the map.
You define the desired outcome of the session and I’ll ask powerful questions along the way.
The car needs to be in “drive”. If the car is in reverse, it will be scary, and you bet I’m going to say something.
Coaching is focused on FORWARD movement toward your goals.
Let’s pump up the music, roll down the windows, and have a good time.
Coaching is fun and can help you figure out creative solutions to continue forward movement towards your goals.
If you get a flat, you’ll call roadside assistance. Heck, maybe you’ll even change the tire yourself! If you get tired, you’ll grab a coffee. If you get lost, you’ll whip out google maps. Whatever the obstacle, you have what it takes to come up with a solution.
In a coaching engagement, you are whole, creative, and resourceful. You have the answers within you, even if you don’t know it yet.
We might take some roads that have steep drop offs, no guardrails, and uneven terrain. The weather could turn at any moment. But the good news is this, we trust each other and communicate openly along the way.
The coaching relationship is built upon trust. It requires transparency, integrity and empathy; from both the coach and the client.
